Joe qualified as a solicitor in 1985. He studied law at the University of Southampton. Joe has worked in criminal practice for 33 years and has worked exclusively in the Hampshire area.

Joe qualified as a solicitor with Moore Blatch Solicitors before becoming a Partner in Metcalfe and Co Solicitors in 1987. Joe oversaw their Alton office until he decided to return to Southampton. Joe continued to practice in criminal defence work at a variety of firms in the Southampton area before setting up his own practice, Joseph Darios Solicitors in 2001. Joe became a consultant solicitor with GPG following the merge in 2016.

Joseph retired in 2019.
